The Area Manager Export (M/F) is responsible for implementing, developing, and executing the owned brands' long-term strategies for all distributors, sales agents & area-defined key accounts, with a specific focus on the Nordics market (Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, and Denmark).
He/She is responsible for strategic analysis and has a good knowledge of the assigned market along with experience in distribution as well in wholesale business models and evaluates business opportunities in existing and new markets. Furthermore, he/she manages the distributors/agents to reach given targets and goals, ensuring the company has the right organizational structure and commercial conditions for the assigned area for each brand and that they are properly delivered. 

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Management of the territories with full responsibility for sales budget, organization, and general business development according to the companies and brands' long-term goals
  • Development of the strategic direction for the region, according to the brand's guidelines & strategy
  • Development and maintenance of strong relationships with the distributing countries 
  • Development of appropriate sales targets and commission plans, reflecting the overall Group strategy
  • Management of existing contracts, and set up targets that are in line with the brand's expectations and objectives
  • Planning, preparation, and management of the seasonal selling seasons (budget, sales programs, marketing activities, forecasts & deadlines)
  • Analysis of sales statistics for all brands and assigned markets
  • Give product feedback from the market to all divisions, to secure the right assortment in order to reach the targets
  • Credit management interaction 
  • Shipment management (weekly update with Customer Service)


  • University degree
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of commercial experience
  • Experience in international sales within consumer goods industry, preferable within the sporting goods industry
  • Experience of the Nordics Market is an added value  
  • Strong commercial & financial awareness
  • Good analytical and negotiation skills
  • Sensitive to different international cultures
  • Willingness to travel on a regular basis
