IT Business Application Specialist Sales - EDI (M/F)

We are looking for a highly motivated IT Business Application Specialist to join our Group Business Processes & IT Department.

In this role, you will be responsible for the management and evolution of the company’s ERP Business Central system, with a strong focus on Sales processes and EDI integrations with customers and suppliers. You will coordinate the technical aspects of solution implementation, ensuring seamless integration between internal systems and external platforms.

 

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Technical ownership of ERP end-to-end Sales processes with a omnichannel focus and of EDI integration solutions
  • Define, approve and test software development activities with internal developers and external vendors, ensuring proper implementation of requirements
  • Configuration of ERP and related systems based on business needs (strong technical understanding required; coding experience not strictly required)
  • Analysis of technical requirements, functional specifications, and integration needs
  • Configure EDI messages acording to customers requirement for data exchange (e.g., EDIFACT, XML, X12)
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting of integration flows between ERP, middleware and external systems
  • Contribution to the definition of solutions and create technical and functional documentation
  • Collaboration with Analysts to translate functional requirements into technical specifications
  • Testing and validation of implemented solutions to ensure reliability and performance
  • Second-level support and training coordination for business key users

 

Profile:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in similar roles, preferably in complex and structured environments
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or NAV, with focus on Sales processes
  • Deep knowledge of Order-to-cash (B2B, E-commerce and Retail) processes in multinational companies
  • Experience in EDI integration projects (clients/suppliers), including interaction with VANs or middleware platforms (e.g. Lobster, Seeburger)
  • Experience in Fashion industry company and in the Procure-to-Pay process are a plus
  • Technical background with the ability to understand and challenge development activities (SQL, APIs, XML/JSON knowledge is a plus)
  • Proven ability to coordinate external vendors and development teams
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English, as well as fluency in either Italian or German.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to mediate between business and technical stakeholders
  • Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented approach; Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge and experience of the Agile SCRUM methodology preferred
  • Location in Bolzano (or available to transfer) is preferred
