At Salewa we are looking for a PR & Communications Senior Specialist who will drive PR and communications activities to strengthen Salewa’s visibility and relevance across outdoor, sport, lifestyle, fashion and digital media. You will develop compelling stories, build strong media and partner relationships, and identify new opportunities to amplify the brand.
Working closely with Marketing, Brand, Product, Digital and regional teams, this role will lead communications initiatives across product launches, campaigns, athletes, creators, events and partnerships, bringing a proactive, entrepreneurial and commercially minded approach to the role.

 

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute global PR and communications strategies aligned with Salewa’s brand and business priorities
  • Identify and proactively pursue opportunities to increase Salewa’s visibility and relevance across outdoor, sport, lifestyle, fashion and digital media
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, creators, athletes, opinion leaders and relevant partners
  • Develop compelling stories and communication angles around products, innovation, mountain culture, athletes, sustainability, design and the Salewa brand
  • Lead seasonal PR activities, including product launches, press releases, media kits, product seeding, storytelling and campaign amplification across key markets
  • Create and activate new PR formats, partnerships, events and community experiences that generate visibility and engagement for the brand
  • Coordinate paid, earned and owned media opportunities with Marketing, regional teams and external partners, including media evaluation and negotiation
  • Monitor trends, communities, cultural conversations and emerging platforms, translating insights into relevant communication opportunities for Salewa
  • Work closely with regional Marketing teams and PR agencies to deliver global priorities locally, manage agency activities and consolidate market insights, learnings and media coverage
  • Monitor PR performance and media impact, sharing insights and recommendations to continuously improve Salewa’s communications activities

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in PR, Communications, Brand Marketing or Media Relations, preferably within outdoor, sporting goods, lifestyle, fashion or premium consumer brands
  • Strong understanding of the media landscape across outdoor, sport, lifestyle, fashion and digital media
  • Proven experience working with PR agencies, journalists, editors, creators, athletes and external partners
  • Excellent storytelling and communication skills, with a strong instinct for relevant and newsworthy content
  • Commercial mindset, with experience managing external partners and negotiating media or partnership opportunities
  • Proactive and entrepreneurial approach, with the ability to identify opportunities, take ownership and turn ideas into action
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, combined with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and markets
  • Passion for mountain sports and outdoor culture
  • Fluent in English; Italian and/or German skills are a plus

Annual Gross Base Salary Range: 32.000€ - 45.000€ + additional target bonus of 5-10% of base salary
