We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Technical Representative with a dedicated focus on footwear across our brands – Salewa, Dynafit, and Evolv. In this strategic role, you will serve as a key link between our company and retail partners, delivering expert training on product technologies and performance features in mountain footwear – spanning alpinism, trail running, and climbing. By embodying our brand values and deeply understanding both retailer and consumer needs, you will help elevate brand presence, drive sell-through, and ensure our products meet the demands of the mountain athlete community.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Train and Inspire Retail Partners: Deliver impactful training sessions (in-store and online) to field and key account retailers, educating staff on new technologies, product features, and effective sales techniques to boost sell-through and brand advocacy.
  • Plan and Execute Store Visits: Develop and maintain a structured schedule for retail visits, ensuring consistent follow-ups and delivering weekly activity reports to internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate Product Testing and Events: Collaborate with the Marketing and Sales teams to organize test events and product experiences. Oversee logistics, material distribution, consumer interaction, product testing, and post-event follow-ups.
  • Manage Product Test Inventory: Handle the distribution and tracking of test products for both B2B (retailers, media, partners) and DTC (end consumers), ensuring timely feedback collection and proper usage.
  • Drive Sell-Through at Retail Level: Maintain an active presence in key retail locations, supporting sell-through with hands-on sales assistance and product expertise, primarily focused on the footwear category.
  • Support Retail Events and Activations: Attend and support events organized by retail partners where brand presence is required, acting as a knowledgeable and engaging brand ambassador.
  • Collect Market Insights & Feedback: Provide regular reports with feedback from retailers and consumers, analyzing the effectiveness of product initiatives and identifying opportunities for product or service improvement.
  • Monitor Market Trends: Stay up to date on competitor activity, emerging trends, and consumer behavior within the footwear segment, sharing insights with internal teams to inform strategic decision

Profile

  • Knowledge of the Italian footwear market
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to present a topic/product/story
  • High availability to travel frequently within a pre-defined territory
  • Flexibility according to customer needs 
  • Fluent in Italian and English
  • Passion for the outdoor world, with personal experience & love for either alpinism, trekking trail running, and/or climbing.
