Advanced Materials Research Internship (M/F)

We are looking for an intern who supports our Research & Development, Footwear Division for at least 6 months.
In our R&D Footwear department, you will support the team in the selection and research of new materials and their application to the developed products.


Tasks and responsibilities

  • Support Materials Advanced Research activities 
  • Support the development of Salewa & Dynafit Footwear collections in the final definition phase
  • Help to update and maintain material database including cost reference
  • Help to actively identify new materials and colors to achieve the quality of the developed products in line with the required quality standard & certifications
  • Assist in maintain contacts with raw material suppliers, support in negotiating with them in order to meet development timelines and guide technical discussions
  • Relate with CSR department for material development
  • Help to research new materials from scratch for all product development purposes (market inputs, needs, fairs and more), following material identification, development and application testing (on prototypes)
  • Support technical data sheet graphic realization



  • Studies in Materials, Design, Product Technology or in a similar field
  • Knowledge of fabrics
  • Knowledge of the product is a plus (especially from a technical, protective or outdoor point of view)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
  • Very good Italian and English skills 
  • Teamwork orientation and good communication skills
  • Proactive approach
  • Passion for materials and fabrics
