Demand Planning Internship (M/F)

The Demand Planning Department is responsible to grant the right stock level of finished products for the allocated Brand(s) to allow the sales teams reach their sales targets, reducing at the same time the risk of overstock at the end of the season. 
The Demand Planner ensures the correct execution of the seasonal buy proposals, gives support and indications to the Product Managers for the right dimensioning of the seasonal matrix and give instructions to the sales leaders in the sales forecast activities. 


As an Intern in the Demand Planning department you will prepare and present the reports and analysis to support the buying decisions and you will help to control stock and availability levels and propose corrective actions. 
You will have the opportunity to work closely with all relevant departments which are part of the process such as sales, product divisions, purchasing, logistics. This gives you the chance to experience and know in depth the processes of a complex supply chain.

 

Tasks and responsibilities
•    Help to collect and analyse the sales forecasts from the markets
•    Help to translate the total sales forecast into a purchase proposal
•    Assist monitoring the KPIs on the forecast accuracy for continuous improvement
•    Support in monitoring and providing periodical stock report, proposing action in case of overstock

 

Profile
•    University student or degree in economics, statistics, engineering or similar
•    First experience in a sales driven company/department is an advantage
•    Fluent in Italian and English, German is a plus
•    Excellent Excel skills 
•    Passionate about numbers and analytical approach
•    Exact/accurate working method
