Release Management Specialist (M/F)

As a Release Management Specialist in the e-commerce web development team, you are in charge of the coordination of the release processes together with all stakeholders who are involved in the deployment chain. You are responsbile for the creation and coordination of a release plan with the project teams, departments as well as test management.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Coordination and monitoring of UAT and SIT tests as well as monitoring of functional and technical tests in the corresponding project teams, ensuring that the required quality gates before deployments are fulfilled
  • Monitoring the proper transfer of updated software products to production
  • Accompaniment of the releases including close monitoring of the systems around the deployments
  • Development of scripts and automation tools for the creation, integration and provision of software versions for various platforms
  • Maintenance and coordination of the release calendar including all dependencies
  • Close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the specialist teams in better planning of development phases and delivery dates
  • Responsibility for the process-accompanying documentation (e.g. release notes)


  • Completed degree in computer science, business informatics or a similar field
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the area of release management
  • Experience in software development projects based on both classic and agile process models
  • Sense of responsibility, initiative and team-oriented work
  • High motivation, flexibility and a structured, independent way of working
  • Proficiency (written, verbal) in English and German or Italian
