The Senior Ecommerce Specialist will lead the online direct-to-consumer sales and digital marketing activities for the Oberalp brands in the US market, in coordination with the international Ecommerce team. This role is expected to grow our brand websites’ traffic, conversion, revenue, and quality over time. This position will be responsible for executing the go-to-market strategy for the Ecommerce business in the US, including optimizing the websites’ merchandising, content, and performance; establishing and leading a local content calendar and communication plan; and guiding the local Ecommerce marketing strategy. 

The Senior Ecommerce Specialist will report to the Group Ecommerce Director and will work cross-functionally with the North American sales, marketing, customer service, and operations teams as well as the international Brand Marketing and Digital IT teams to create a positive customer centric online shopping experience.
 

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Execute the go-to-market strategy for the Oberalp brand websites that is consistent with each brand’s business goals in the local North American market
  • Manage the user experience of the websites including site navigation, product merchandising, content development, inventory availability, and promotional campaigns
  • Define and manage a seasonal, monthly, and weekly site content calendar in partnership with the international digital and local sales and marketing teams to ensure freshness, relevancy, and that the appropriate balance of commercial and brand story telling is achieved
  • Develop and oversee the digital communication plan for the brands in the local market, including email newsletters, blog posts, social media, and other tools. Promote the websites via a variety of digital methods to increase sales, generate brand awareness and recruit new customers, and ensure alignment with the brands’ unified marketing strategy
  • Analyze the day-to-day performance of the Ecommerce websites, ensuring that KPIs are monitored, maintained and achieved. Routinely conduct sell-out analysis, reporting online store performance and web analytics to management and cross-functional team members
  • Work closely with the international brand and local sales and marketing teams to plan new online collections and new product publications, respecting seasonal time constraints
  • In alignment with the global digital marketing strategy, guide the local performance marketing plan, utilizing the allotted budget to maximize sales and return on investment
  • Lead a small local Ecommerce team to achieve a high level of productivity and effectiveness with the available resources
  • Work with the Group Ecommerce Director and North American sales management to develop pricing strategies and a promotional calendar that is in alignment and respective of our wholesale sales channel
  • Work with the North American marketing team to maximize the effectiveness of digital marketing efforts such as affiliate programs, social media, and other local campaigns
  • Develop inventory forecasts and block order calendar to ensure proper inventory levels for websites
  • Work closely with the customer service team to ensure on-time fulfillment, deliver a high level of service, resolve issues promptly, and improve the user experience on our sites
  • Collaborate with accounting, customer service, and operations teams to prevent and minimize fraud, tax, or other financial issues on our websites
     

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, Sales or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of in-depth experience in an Ecommerce and/or Digital Marketing role
  • Experience with website management, sales planning, inventory forecasting, and budget management
  • Proven Ecommerce project management experience
  • Demonstrated people management skills
  • Established ability to work cross-functionally across multiple divisions
  • Strong creative, planning and conceptual skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust, resulting in effective working relationships across the company
  • Demonstration of innovation and initiative – always looking at improving processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help out wherever necessary

Salary range: $75,000 - $90,000 with bonus opportunity
